Summary in English
"Rovdjur" is Swedish for carnivore. "Eko" stands for both Eco-Tourism (ecology and economy) and for the echo of the wolves howling rolling over the landscape.
In the private I have acted as a wildlife guide for over 60 years, in fact - the last 18 years specially focused on the wolf. I am also engaged in The Swedish Carniovore Association, and I am taking active part in the public discussion on the preservation of wolves.
My civil profession is in medicine - child and youth psychiatry. Though retired I am still working as a psychotherapist.
As enterpriser in eco-tourism I am quite a purist, consequently acting against most kinds of human interaction with and - feeding of - wild carnivores.
My 14-year-old laika-bitch (Tanja) and I constitute an experienced wolf-tracking team. Summer-tracking is our speciality.
The arrangements of "Rovdjurs-Eko" include "Wolf-howling Nights" and "Camping in the Wolf Forest" from June through September.
I usually start my tours with a lecture on the re-arrival of wolves to Scandinavia in the 1970s. I can show you maps of their routes from Russia to mid Sweden, and also my own photos from the tracking of wolf, bear, lynx, and wolverine. In fact, my territory is the only area in Scandinavia where all the Big Five (including the Golden Eagle) carnivores live and breed.
I live and work in the village Fränsta, close to the official geographic Mid Point of Sweden. Fränsta is stituated along E14 and the railroad between the two cities of Sundsvall and Östersund.
